NOTE: THIS IS FOR A SUMMER-LONG SUBLET BEGINNING MID-LATE JUNE UNTIL AUGUST 20TH, with the possibility of extending the stay. About the Apt/Building: It is in a newly renovated construction on a quiet street about a block and a half from the Jefferson L train. There is a virtual doorman in the building. It is a third-floor walk-up, but the stairs aren't bad (promise). There is rooftop access. The room we are looking to sublet is large (it comes furnished with a bed and a desk) and has two windows which face the street and get tons of light. The only downside? There is no closet space, but feel free to install a rack or two (there's plenty of room). We are the first tenants in the unit, so everything is brand spankin' new. There are one and a half bathrooms, both of which are remodeled and pretty. There is laundry in the building. You'd be living with two girls -- one 23 year old and one 30 year old. One works full-time in editorial, and the other just graduated from a Masters program and will be TA-ing over the summer. We're both friendly and communal (hello, family dinners!) and hang out quite a bit in the apartment. There are two pets in the apartment: one small, 8 lb. dog who doesn't bark and one kitten. Both are friendly, have never had problems with strangers, and love to be cuddled and given treats. The area is super safe. Seriously. There's a bodega on the corner, and tons of cute little coffee shops and restaurants. If you're a brunch nerd, this will be heaven for you. There are several grocery stores within a couple of blocks -- Brooklyn Natural is a 5 minute walk, and Hana is 3 minutes tops. There are plenty of art and yoga studios, too.
